About
At the Complex Family Planning Research Center, we are committed to improving sexual and reproductive health by conducting research that addresses systemic and structural barriers.
Our research explores a range of topics, including access to abortion and contraception, disparities in reproductive care, the experiences and perspectives of healthcare providers, the role of religious refusals, and ethical and clinical considerations in reproductive care, as well as the particular needs and priorities of adolescents.
Our Research
——
Abortion Research
Our findings provide insight on the implementation and impact of current abortion policies and interventions to support high-quality abortion care, as well as efforts to reduce health disparities and inequity.
Contraception Research
Research on contraception covers a wide range of complex topics, including access, education, cultural beliefs, and provider training. Our work examines these aspects from various perspectives to enhance access to compassionate and culturally-sensitive care.
Adolescent Research
Much of our adolescent research stems from Ci3’s aims to center young people and their lived experiences. We employ creative methods to hear their stories, develop innovative interventions to address their needs, and actively engage them in the process of research.
